"Nature as Healer"
People are very concerned with protecting themselves from germs, viruses, bacteria, & etc.... This concern has resulted in the common use of “antibacterial” soaps, lotions, dish soaps, & etc..... Not all antibacterial products are equal, & many of the ones that are used in our common products actually can have a negative impact on human beings & on our environment. Grapefruit Seed Extract is a highly effective natural substitute.
GSE is made from the seeds & pulp of grapefruits. It is a highly potent extract that has antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral, and antiparasitic properties. It has been used to help fight disease and infection in humans and animals, as well as
for disinfecting surfaces and cleaning purposes.
Grapefruit Seed Extract has been shown to be effective against many germs, such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Listeria, E. coli, Klebsiella, Legionella, Salmonella, Shingella, Cholera and Pseudomonas. It is also effective against Candida, “Athlete’s Foot”, Aspergillus and Trichophyton, Herpes Simplex I, Influenza A, measles and other animal viruses. Parasites that also cannot resist its actions are Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba histolytica and Chlamydia.
While being extremely effective against these unwanted germs, GSE has an additional benefit of leaving the beneficial bacteria in our intestinal tracts that we need for the proper digestion of our food and to maintain a healthy balance of necessary internal “flora and fauna”. When GSE is used externally it will only kill the harmful germs, while leaving the benefical bacteria on your skin. This is very important, because this benefical bacteria is very important in keeping you healthy.
GSE is a very powerful compound and it should be treated with respect. Never drink it or place it on your skin for a prolonged period of time at its full strength; ALWAYS dilute it or rinse it off when it is applied directly to the skin. Avoid contact with eyes. If your skin does get irritated, using aloe vera, chamomille tea, or an organic vegetable oil can help relieve the symptoms.
Always Keep out of reach of children.
Here are a few suggestions on how you can use Grapefruit Seed Extract.
I would love to hear how you use it in your life.
| Hand Soap | Add 10 - 15 drops of GSE, to your hand soap in order to neutralize bacteria each time you wash your hands |
| General Disinfectant | Purchase a 32oz. Spray Bottle & add Vinegar/Water at 1-1 ration. Add 50 drops of GSE & use this spray as an all purpose disinfectant. |
| Dish Soap | You can add 25+ drops to your actual dish soap container, or you can add 10 drops to your final rinse water. |
| Scrubbees & Dish Towels | Spray your Dish Towel with the General Disinfectant Mixture & Soak your Scrubbees in water with 10 drops of GSE |
| Carpet Cleaners | Add 15+ drops to your the Shampoor Resovoir of your Carpet Cleaner. This works wonders with Pet Odors. |
| Litter Box | After you have cleaned the cat box, Spray it with the Generel Disinfectant & let dry. |
| Laundry | Add 15+ drops to the Final Rinse Cycle |
| Travel | I will take a small bottle of the General Disinfectant & a few paper towels that I have lightly soaked in the General Disinfectant with me when I am on the road. |
I personally only use Grapefruit Seed Extract externally. It also has the potential to have serious interactions with some Prescriptions Drugs, such as.... Seldane, Procardia, Adalat, and Plendil. A wonderful reference about potential drug interactions is, The People’s Guide to Deadly Drug Interactions (St. Martin’s Press) by Drs. Joe and Terry Graedon. Please check with your Health Care Provider, if you plan on using GSE internally. Grapefruit Seed Extract is a citrus product, so if you have an allergy to citrus, use with extreme caution.
